The Reverso Grande Complication à- Triptyque is the 3rd part of the Trilogy of fabulous watches: the other two being The Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie &- the Gyrotourbillon - together they form the Hybris Mechanica 55 Trilogy.
The significance of the number 55 is that together the three watches have 55 complications - many are firsts and some have been patented by Jaeger LeCoultre!
These fabulous watches are presented in a full safe which is possibly the largest (and heaviest) watch presentation box to date - a 2,600 pound German-made Doettling safe (which by the way has a special sound system installed that enables the actual chiming of the Grand Sonnerie to be heard outside the safe even when it is securely locked!).

This remarkable &- beautiful timepiece has three faces - a 1st for any watch brand.
By displaying three dimensions of time on three faces, Jaeger-LeCoultre has risen to the challenge of bringing together civil, sidereal and perpetual time within the legendary reversible case.
This timepiece comprises 18 functions including civil time, sidereal time, a zodiac calendar, an astronomical chart and an equation of time display with sunrise and sunset indications.

No fewer than five patents protect the various constituent mechanisms, starting with the ingenious lever system that connects the two parts of the platinum case.
The five patent requests that have been filed are for the: Zodiac calendar, Case-locking mechanism, Transmission lever, Daily impulse system, Triple-face watch.
