New for 2012 are three new versions of the Hublot Big Bang King Power Unico
A Big Bang with an even stronger, more powerful and further evolved design.
Limited to 500 pieces to each version in Titanium, 18K King Gold &- the All Black Carbon Fiber
A timepiece with a complex skeletonized dial made of several layers, housing an automatic Chronograph movement &- the in-house Unico movement Caliber 1240.
The large King Power case was created especially for the Unico caliber.
Although the watch&rsquo-s case diameter is 48 mm, the watch actually measures 50 mm when measured across the crown or across the lugs.
The watch is 17.6 mm thick.
The very dominant hour and minutes hands ensure that time is always legible, even if light is shining through the sapphire crystal and onto the transparent dial, the movement can still be seen beneath it.
The watch has a seconds hand on a subdial at 9 o&rsquo-clock
The elapsed-minutes counter at 3 o&rsquo-clock &- the date aperture is between 4 &- 5o'clock
A skeletonized date ring rotates beneath the dial.
The date appears between 4 and 5 o&rsquo-clock
The push-piece at 2 o&rsquo-clock stops the chronograph while the column-wheel turns at 6 o&rsquo-clock.
This rotary motion, and the pivoting of the horizontal coupling (positioned above and toward the left of the column wheel), can both be seen easily
The column-wheel mechanism with flyback function is positioned on the dial side of the movement.
The watch has a power reserve of three days.
It has bidirectional winding and its winding rotor runs on ceramic ball bearings, which need no lubrication.
All versions are fitted with a black rubber strap with deployment buckle.
Water resistant to 100 meters / 330 feet
